- A bungee cord system on the sides pulls the vest snug and lets you breathe freely, so it moves with you instead of slapping against you.

Which weighted vest should I buy?
If you are new to weighted training, start with 2kg or 3kg for walking, swimming and cycling. If you already train regularly, 5kg is the all-rounder. 7kg and 10kg are for short, hard sessions once you are used to the load. Send us a WhatsApp and tell us what you do; we will tell you honestly which one fits.
Will it bounce or rub when I run?
It is built not to. A bungee cord system on each side pulls the vest snug against you, and the shoulder pads are soft. Adjust it until it is firm but you can still breathe deeply.
Can I swim in it?
Yes. The vests are waterproof and made for the pool and the sea. Rinse in fresh water after salt water or chlorine and dry it out of direct sunlight.
Does one size really fit everyone?
Yes. The vests adjust to fit men and women of most builds, and the cut sits comfortably around a woman’s body as well as a man’s.
How do I wash it?
Rinse it in fresh water after use and hang it to dry in the shade. Keep it out of the washing machine and out of direct sunlight; both damage it and are not covered by the guarantee.
Our story
It started with divers, in 1999.
Bright Weights began in 1999 with a love of SCUBA diving and a simple idea: divers should be able to spread their weight along the body, not hang it all on one belt. That idea became our weighting system, and it won the SABS Design Institute award and the Chairman’s Award in its first year, then the Palme d’Or for the best new diving product at the International Underwater Film Festival in France.
